Pomeroy Cemetery
Cambria, Niagara County, New York

Lower Mt Rd & Cambria Lockport Rd
Cambria NY

South East corner of intersection of Lower Mountain Rd and Cambria Lockport Rd. North West corner of lot.

Contributed by Janis Gillis, Sep 23, 2001 [jangl1946@yahoo.com]. Total records = 20.

In 1908, the owner listed was B. Treadwell and in 1938, owner was listed as Raymond Schulz. Between 1936 and 1938, New York State came through to extend a highway, leaving the burial ground on an island. However to this date, neither an easement or document of ownership has been found in the deeds that have been searched.

Cemetery is well maintained and only two stones were broken and laying on the ground. Not accepting new graves.

Records were compiled Sep 23, 2001, from the actual tombstone inscriptions.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
