Mount Carmel is the oldest Catholic Cemetery in Toledo, originally known as Saint Mary and Saint Frances de Sales Cemetery. In the 1930s revisions were made, including the addition of 30-40 acres of ground space and a beautiful new grotto. It was then renamed and concecrated Mount Carmel Cemetery on Nov 01, 1936. It is one of three Toledo Diocesan Cemeteries.
