The cemetery is about 429 ft. east of OH Hwy 142, .4 mile south of Price-Hillards Rd.

Converse-Garton Cemetery is on land which was previously owned by James Converse and before him it was owned by David Garton. In 1985 it was owned by Welsey Mercer and records don't indicate a change in ownership of the land.

In 1986 a transcription of this cemetery was compiled by Michael Bryan Jones, I have since revisited the cemetery and made additional notes/corrections, which were completed in 2002.
