Calvary Cemetery is located on land that was once know as "The Bluffs". Thought to be occupied by mound builder Native Americans who used the natural ridges and hollows as forts. It started in 1872.

When Saint Henry Cemetery closed, many burials were moved to Calvary Cemetery. There are about 70,000 buried here in this active, well maintained cemetery.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
