From the Route 21 West/Route 19 South intersection in Waynesburg, follow Route 19 South a very short distance and make the first left on to Rolling Meadows Road. Travel .9 miles and make a right on to Dark Hollow Road. Travel approximately a quarter mile until you see a large brick house on your left.
This cemetery is located near the woodline in a field on the opposite side of the road. The cemetery sits on land owned by Ben Williamson and his family. Mr. Williamson was very helpful in pointing out the location of this very small cemetery. He also said he had heard that this land was in the Gordon family's name going back as far as the 1820s. Please obtain permission from the land owner before going to the cemetery.
The area surrounding the cemetery is cleared off and in good condition, however two of the three stones have broken in two. The pieces of all the stones have been banded together with heavy wire in order to keep them from being separated. This allowed me to only properly photograph one of the stones. I could see some of the lettering of the other two stones from the side. Due to this fact, I have included portions of a transcription of this cemetery compiled by Dorothy and James Hennen. Their findings were most likely done in the mid 1970s. Those enteries are marked with an (*).
I walked the cemetery on Mar 27, 2010. This transcription is complete and includes all existing stones. I also have digital photographs of one the stones as well as several views of the cemetery itself and would share them with anyone interested.
