Grim Cemetery
Bristoria, Greene County, Pennsylvania

Lat: 39° 52' 24"N, Lon: 80° 23' 48"W
Richhill Township

Contributed by Brad Jarvis, Nov 09, 2009, last edited Nov 10, 2009 [forza@windstream.net]. Total records = 5.

At the Route 18/21 split just west of Rogersville, make a left at the blinking yellow light onto Route 18 South. Follow for 2.5 miles until you come to the small town of Holbrook. Make a right on Bristoria Road and follow for 5.7 miles. The cemetery is located just above the road bank of Bristoria Road on the right hand side, just past the turnoff to Claylick Road. There has recently been a large slip in the road bank just below the cemetery. The cemetery sits on land owned by Mr. Alan Smith. Please seek permission from the landowner before going to the cemetery.

This very small cemetery is in fair condition and it appears that it is cleared off perhaps once or twice a year. The recent slip just below the cemetery does not appear to have caused any damage to the cemetery itself. All of the stones are standing and most are still fully or somewhat legible. There is one fieldstone marker as well.

I walked the cemetery on Nov 07, 2009 with my friend Charles Newman. This transcription is complete and includes all existing stones. I also have digital photographs of all the stones as well as many views of the cemetery itself and would share them with anyone interested.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
