Somerton Cemetery
Pinopolis, Berkeley County, South Carolina

This cemetery was owned and established by Rene Ravenel in c.1708 to be used as a burial ground for family. It was about one acre in size and was situated about 3 miles north of Pinopolis on the Somerton Plantation. The area and cemetery are now under water in the Pinopolis Reservoir in Lake Moultrie.
