Rome Cemetery is located about 7 miles from Athens, Texas in Henderson County. Take Hwy 19 South about 3 miles to FM 753. Turn right on FM 753 and go about 4 miles. Rome Cemetery will be on your left. There is a sign that says, "Rome Cemetery and Rome Church EST 1921."

The land for the cemetery was donated by the Boyd family. Nannie Boyd was the first person layed to rest at Rome. Nannie was born July 23,1877 and died Aug 15,1921. The Cemetery is in good condition and is a country cemetery. The cemetery is active.
