The Dobkins were pioneer settlers to this area, arriving in 1852. Alexander was an Ordained Baptist minister as well as a postmaster in the area during the Civil War. This cemetery has been placed on the list of Texas Historical Cemeteries.

This cemetery is not open to the public. One has to have a special permit to visit, because of where it is situated.

I have photos of each individual headstone which may be viewed here.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
