Grymes Cemetery
Hooes, King George County, Virginia

Woodstock Road, Hoes VA

Lat: 38° 23' 25"N, Lon: 77° 03' 28"W

From Hooes, go 2 miles northeast on Mathias Point Road (Route 624) until you reach Woodstock (Route 687). Turn onto Woodstock Road and go northwest for .8 niles and then north for .35 miles until you see a white cinderblock building on the south side of the road. The cemetery is in a fenced area behind the building.

A small family cemetery that is poor condition. The children of Custis Grymes are buried there as well as their nurse Kitty Lee. There is some undergrowth and a headstone that is broken in two. One large headstone is tipping over. A girl scout from King George County some years ago, cleaned up the little cemetery, but it now looks like the cemetery has been somewhat neglected.
This includes only headstone readings from when I visited this cemetery on Aug 05, 2011.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
