From the intersection of Rtes 20 and 3 at Wilderness Center in Orange County, take Rte 20 west for about 2/10ths of a mile. Turn left onto Brigadier Way (SR 720). The cemetery is on your immediate right.

This is an active cemetery on about 2 acres surrounded by trees. It is well maintained and manicured, grassy and cleared of debris. It is also known as Alexander Chapel Cemetery, which may hint of an origin in the mid-1700's by Gov. Alexander Spotswood, who lived nearby, although the chapel no longer exists. It is now a part of the Wilderness Battlefield, with historic (Civil War era) Ellwood House lands adjacent to it. It is open to the public during daylight hours.
