Foltz Graveyard

From Slanesville, drive 2 miles south on SH 29 to Voit road, turn right onto Voit Road and continue for 1/4 mile west, then look to right, stand of trees in field is the cemetery.

The property owner where this cemetery is located is Rick Whitacre. The field is fenced, as is the graveyard, but can be accessed from the Farm, which is north of the cemetery. The farm is on the Martinsburg Grade Rd. on the other side of the field and can only be access with permission (due to cattle.)

I have been told that Foltz family members visit once a year to clean up debris in this cemetery, but I can't confirm that. It is no longer used and is pocked with many groundhog holes and has a solar electric fence to keep the cattle away. I've actually found casket handles on the surface.

This is a transcription completed by my mother, Katie Cowgill in 1970 and it appears there have been no burials since that time.
