To reach this cemetery from Osborne Mills WV drive north on CR 19/14 for a short distance, turn left onto CR 29 and continue west then north for about 1.5 miles. Turn left or west onto CR 23 going past the Lower Hurricane School area, for about .72 miles. The cemetery will be on the south or left side of the road.

This cemetery was established in 1937 as a family burial ground. I found only one stone with the date of 1937. On maps it is listed as the Parker Cemetery. I compared my reading with a WPS reading for Oct 03, 1940.

I walked and read this cemetery in Sep of 2006 and Aug of 2008, this includes all existing and legible headstone and marker readings at that time.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
