Reeder Cemetery
Wood County, West Virginia

Lat: 39°14'10"N, Lon: 81°38'03"W

Contributed by Teresa Fordyce, Mar 22, 2003, last edited Jul 19, 2007 [s82c43@verizon.net]. Total records = 13.

Take Rt. 892 through Lubeck, WV. Turn right on Fairlane Dr., the cemetery is about 1/3 mile on the right. It is located on the farm on M.C. Stephens, 22 New England Heights

This cemetery is on property originally owned by the Reeder Family of Wood County, WV. The last burial in this cemetery was in 1934. It is no longer in use and in very poor condition. It is now located in the middle of a cattle pasture. The stones have all been knocked over and 2 of them are broken.

One needs permission from the owners of the land to visit this cemetery, which I obtained when I visited it.

This transcription was done on May 14, 2002 from a physical examination of the stones present, when I visited the cemetery.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
