Orcutt Family Burying Ground
Mansonville, Brome County, Quebec
Contributed by Joan Cruickshank, Oct 18, 2007, last edited Jan 08, 2008 . Total records = 7.
From the Eastern Townships Autoroute 10, take the exit for Eastman, Quebec, and follow Route 245 South for about 16 km. until you reach the intersection at Route 243. Follow Route 243 South, to Mansonville, Quebec. The cemetery is located on the left side of the road just outside of Mansonville.
This is one of a few abandoned cemeteries that I have discovered. It sits high on a knoll on land that was once owned by Lemuel Orcutt, and has long ceased to be used. I found the remains of seven headstones amongst the grass and bushes, one of which was that of Mr. Lemuel Orcutt.
I walked this cemetery in the fall of 2007, my listing is based mostly on burial records compiled by the late Mr. Ken Jones.
